EYP-Ukraine is happy and hyper-excited to announce the Call for Chairs for the first EYP-Ukraine Inter-rail Tour that will take place all over Ukraine during April 27- May4 2009!
This will be an extraordinary event in EYP history! 5 teams of officials (5 people each, 25 altogether) will sail off, or better say ‘rail off’ to 5 different regions in Ukraine holding a mini-session in each of the region’s three cities.
The regions are as follow:
1) EAST I: Donetsk – Luhansk – Kharkiv
2) EAST II: Zaporizhya – Dnipropetrovsk – Poltava
3) CENTRE: Cherkasy – Kirovograd – Kryvyi Rih
4) SOUTH: Odesa – Mykolayiv – Simferopol
5) WEST: Vinnytsia – Ivano-Frankivsk – Ternopil
Each team of officials will spend 2 days in each city and then move to the next city using a train or, in some cases, a bus. In each city there will be a two-day mini EYP-session held, which will include Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly and gather 30-40 participants per city. Altogether one team will hold three mini-sessions – one after another.
Preliminary topic for Inter-Rail Mini-sessions is ‘Dialogue between Cultures – Way to Tolerance and Democracy’.
Due to the format of this project there will be no journalists at the sessions.
Each team will consist of 4 chairs and 1 organiser.
The participation fee for officials is 10 Euros. The participation fee will cover transportation inside Ukraine, accommodation in each city and meals during the Inter-Rail.
Before the start of the tour all officials will gather in Kyiv on Thursday, April 9, 2009, for Officials Teambuilding. And then each team will get on a train to their first city, accompanied by a Ukrainian organiser. The officials should return to Kyiv on April 16. Accommodation in Kyiv for extra nights can be arranged.
This is a great opportunity for EYPers with little chairing experience to improve their skills as well as for experienced chairs to become a part of something new, challenging and extraordinary!
This will be an unforgettable experience for all the participants. You will get to know your team-mates like at no other event! And you will get an opportunity to travel, spend some free time in each of the cities and explore Ukraine! This will be a voyage full of new experiences, emotions and unforgettable memories!
Altogether this Inter-Rail project will introduce EYP to over 500 young Ukrainians!

Completed forms should be sent to inter.rail2009@eyp-ua.org no later than Friday, March 27, 2009. All applicants will be notified of the selection results by Sunday, March 15, 2009.
We would like to try something new at EYP Inter-Rail mini-session regarding the selection of the Members of the Board. Since each team will have only 4 chairs, we’d like to give each of them an opportunity to be a President and/or Vice-President at least once during the tour. So the President and Vice-President(s) at each mini-session can change.
