European Forum of Young Local Leaders, 20th – 23rd September (Tarnow, Poland)

EYP Poland is delighted to invite all EYPers to take part in European Forum of Young Local Leaders which will take place in Tarnow between 20th and 23rd September.

The event will gather nearly 200 participants from all over Europe who will come together to discuss issues concerning current political situation, economics, and socio-cultural aspects of our lives in the light of the upcoming Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and its priorities.

Event will be divided into three theme sections: the priorities of the Polish Presidency in the Council of the European Union, Polish and European youth policy and the current issues of EU. (more…)

1st International Forum of EYP in Stockholm, April 5-10th, 2011 – Changed Deadline!!!

1st International Forum of EYP Sweden (IFES) will take place in Stockholm, April 5-11th, 2011. The theme is Human Rights and Democracy and the official session slogan is “Different Fights for Equal Rights”. With delegations from almost 20 European countries and 200 participants the session will be a perfect opportunity to raise awareness of human rights issues in Europe, youth influence in dictatorships, democracy related topics overall and a special focus on the situation of EYP Belarus and youth influence in Belarus.

Petition by European Youth in support of Human Rights, Pluralist Democracy and Transparent Elections for Belarus

Please, sign this petition, if you are not indifferent to the what people in Belarus are going through. Your signature is a sign of support of democratic changes in Belarus which may happen if the European society will pay proper attention to the consequences of the dictatorship right next to the EU! Belarus needs outer influence to trigger internal changes; such as the influence of European democratic institutions.

This petition is addressed to Catherine Ashton, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission and is supposed to reach her before January 12, when DROI and AFET committees of the European Parliament meet together.

Local Environmental Management in Urban Areas – International Training Programme

Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Ukraine and Kosovo are invited to nominate candidates to the above mentioned programme scheduled to take place September 6 ?– 24 September 2010. The training is administered by SIPU International AB (www.sipuinternational.se)

International Training Programmes (ITP) are organised by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). These short term (2-8 weeks) trainings are organised in a number of technical and administrative fields where Sweden has a considerable level of expertise to offer. Participants will receive full scholarship while in Sweden as well as in the regional follow up of the programme this means Sida will be covering the cost for participants concerning the participation fee, meals and accommodation. Sida will also subsidise the flight to Sweden with 500 USD, all travel costs related to the regional face of the programme will be carried by Sida. Personal expenses are not included. (more…)

Summer is coming. It is the time of fooling around and overwhelming boredom only for loafers, freeloaders and shirkers. It is the time for recharging, reshaping and updating your brain power and your soul vitality.

On August 16 – 21, 2010 Scientific Research Mises Center (Belarus) with its Ukrainian and German partners are honored to invite you to take part in the Belarusian-Ukrainian Summer Liberty Camp. It is our traditional event but this time is it in Ukraine. It is set in a different environment with new partners, new stimulating young guys from Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova.

The Odessa Liberty Camp is for those who are enthusiastic activists of freedom movement and who promote liberty in everyday life. The Summer Liberty Camp is not for showing off just once a year in the pleasant environment. It is a reward for intellectual integrity and social activism. (more…)
