You know that one of the main tools of democracy is rotation (or changing) of managing people. It’s time to elect new National Committee (NC) of the European Youth Parliament Belarus!

The NC consists of up to 5 members, who elected by all the Belarusian EYPers’ votes.

The main responsibility of the NC is to provide sustainable development of our organisation. 

 

In practice, this means the following business:

» in-country sessions organisation in cooperation with local organisers;

» for cross-border sessions – delegations selection, preparing and visit management;

» international cooperation and official “paper” stuff;

» regional development in close cooperation with city representatives and most active EYPers;

» establishing criteria of selection and other rules;

» and a lot of other business.

3rd National Session of EYP Lithuania (December 18-21, 2015)

November 25th, 2015

3rd National Session of EYP Lithuania will be held in magnificent city of Vilnius on December 18-21, 2015. The event will gather over 80 talented and inquisitive individuals from many countries to discuss current European issues upon the common topic ‘Internationality – best way to grow together’. The committees will be guided by highly skilled chairpersons from all over the Europe. The session will be presided by Mr. Koka Kapanadze (GE) and vice-presided by Ms. Valerie Boyko (UA) and Ms. Joanna Stachera (PL).
Things to know:
• participation fee for the session is 50 Eur;
• travel reimbursement for Belarusian delegates;
• visa support will be provided by EYP Lithuania.

Dublin Belfast 2016 – 81st International Session of the EYP

The 81st International Session of the European Youth Parliament will take place between 4th to 13th of March 2016 will take place in both Belfast, United Kingdom and Dublin, Ireland and will gather more than 300 young people from 39 European countries.

For ten days the 81st International Session of the European Youth Parliament will host exciting debates about current European political issues, which are dedicated to the overarching theme of “Crossing Borders, Transcending Conflict”. The young participants will be offered a framework to share and develop their ideas and visions for a sustainable Europe and will experience Europe’s cultural diversity. The participants draft resolutions on current European issues, which are then debated according to the rules of the European Parliament. In particular the young people are encouraged to express their own views as well as exchange and weigh up ethical and cultural ideas with others whilst working towards a consensus on the respective committee topic.

After participation in the IS you will officially become an EYP alumna or alumnus and you will join the large family of those who already have this status. Participation in one of Spring or Autumn IS makes you eligible to take part in a Summer IS which are designed specifically for alumni.

Applicants must be age 16 – 20 in order to apply. Only Exceptionally, by the decision of the NC, an applicant age 21 might be accepted if they had already proven significant service to EYP development in Belarus. All applicants must have a personal passport for travel to United Kingdom and Ireland.

The applicants are expected to be ready to cover only their travel costs.

Leipzig 2015 – 80th International Session of the EYP (6th-15th, November 2015)

The 80th International Session of the European Youth Parliament, will take place between 06-15th of November 2015 in Leipzig, Germany and will gather more than 300 young people from 39 European countries.

For ten days Leipzig will host exciting debates about current European political issues, which are dedicated to the overarching theme of “Fundamental Rights in Europe”. The young participants will be offered a framework to share and develop their ideas and visions for a sustainable Europe and will experience Europe’s cultural diversity. The participants draft resolutions on current European issues, which are then debated according to the rules of the European Parliament. In particular the young people are encouraged to express their own views as well as exchange and weigh up ethical and cultural ideas with others whilst working towards a consensus on the respective committee topic.

After participation in the IS you will officially become an EYP alumna or alumnus and you will join the large family of those who already have this status. Participation in one of Spring or Autumn IS makes you eligible to take part in a Summer IS which are designed specifically for alumni.

Kutaisi’15 – 9th National Selection Conference of EYP Georgia

Kutaisi’15 – 9th National Selection Conference of EYP Georgia will be held on August 16th-19th. The 9th National Selection Conference will gather around 90 delegates from all over Georgia to discuss current European and global socio-political issues under the theme of Eastern Partnership – Opening Doors to the East.

The Session is presided by Mr. Patrik Bruschek (AT) and head-organised by Ms. Tamta Tsveraidze (GE) and Ms. Natia Jokhadze (GE).

9th NSC of EYP-Ukraine (11-15 August)

EYP Belarus is delighted to launch an open call for delegates of the 9th National Selection Conference of EYP-Ukraine to be held between 11th-15th of August in Lutsk.

Delegates will be allocated into 8 committees guided by skilled chairpersons and will discuss challenging European social, political, economical, cultural and ecological issues under the session theme “United for Peace“. The session will gather approximately 150 participants, the best of which will be selected to represent Belarus at the 80th and 81st International Sessions of the European Youth Parliament in Leipzig (Germany) and Dublin, Belfast (Ireland and UK) respectively as well as other EYP events across Europe.

There will be no participation fee for participants, but a deposit of 30 EUR prior to the session to secure the spot, which will be returned after the event. Accommodation and subsistence for the full event is covered by the funding provided by the partners of the session.

2nd Lviv International Summit, Lemberg 2015, Lviv, Ukraine, 16-19 July 2015 [DEADLINE EXTENDED]

We are delighted to open the call for Delegates for the 2nd Lviv International Summit 2015 organised by EYP-Belarus.

The event will be held in Lviv, Ukraine between the 16th and 19th of July,2015 and will gather around 100 participants from Belarus and all over Europe. During 4 days of the Summit the participants will be provided with the unique chance to discuss and debate highly topical issues united under the theme ‘Sustainable Europe – heading towards agile supply and smart energy management’.An intense 4-day programme of the Summit will consist of a full day of Teambuilding, 2 days of Committee Work followed by one-day of General Assembly. Evening activities will include traditional Eurovillage and Euroconcert, as well as several parties. Do not miss your chance!

The main things you must know about the summit:

  • you are eligible to apply only if you are from 16 to 22 years old;
  • NO participation fee;
  • travel reimbursement for all delegates from Belarus;
  • accommodation and meals are provided during the summit;
  • you do not need to have previous EYP experience;
  • after the summit you’ll can go to some major sessions and become a Belarusian representative in the 80th International Session in Leipzig, in autumn!
